Barking Crow Brewing Company

The Barking Crow Brewing Company was established in 2005 by Damon and Denise Daffron of Roberts, WI. Both Damon and Denise grew up in Chattanooga, TN, and attended Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. (who can name their mascot without looking it up?). The Daffrons moved to the great upper Midwest in 2000, and five years later realized that brewing their own alcohol was one way to combat the cold of their new surroundings. Barking Crow What started as a small bottling hobby, has grown into a multi-keg brewing passion. Please join us on Friday, March 14th, from 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM to sample 3 of their newest brews. A small description of each beer on this year's menu is below. Damon and Denise are providing these brews at their own expense, but we will have a 'tip' jar, and donations will be greatly appreciated.

Barking Crow Red Ale

Red Ale: A medium-bodied, golden red ale that is crisp and clean with a nice balance between the hop and malt flavors. I would give you a comparison to a commercial beer, but I don't have one... this is our own recipe. If things go well, this brew will become our signature beer.

Barking Crow - Saint Croix Wheat

Saint Croix Wheat: A wheat lager brewed in the style of Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat. It is light and refreshing with a bit of citrus tartness. Oranges will be provided. (Caution, drink at your own risk, see Man Law below)

Barking Crow - Pilsner

Pilsner: A light, easy drinking lager. This will take you back to the days when you used to steal a Hamm's or PBR from your Dad's stash. Sounds like a perfect fit for Spillaturday Night Fever weekend.

Man Law: "Don't Fruit the beer"

Can you put a lime or any other fruit in your beer? No, fruit is completely off limits in beer. If one was to put fruit in a beer, they might as well put a little umbrella in it and call it a "beera colada". (See all Man Law's).
