"Spillin’ Of The Green Tour XI" Who will be the last Survivor?
| Can you believe another year has gone
by and it’s time for Spillin’? This year’s theme will be from the
popular TV series Survivor, with an Irish Twist. This year the dress up
theme is Irish Survivor Wear (think GREEN), please be creative.
(Please remember, Ugly Green Attire is mandatory).
This years contest for the guys and gals will be several categories, Best Irish Survivor Outfit, Best Irish Survivor Necklace, Best Irish Luxury Survivor Item. You pick your favorite; prizes will be awarded for each category. We will also be having a Survivor contest, which will be conducted in and around the Bars on the Bus Route, with the finals to be held at Bob’s Bar (details to be announced). You may enter to be a survivor by sending your audition video or still photos and a letter in 100 words or less why you should be a "Spillvivor" to John Bollard, 8055 9th Street Way North, Oakdale, MN 55128. You may also e-mail pictures to our website. (We will choose 8 – 10 Survivors) The time has come to reserve your seat on an Irish Party Bus. Remember this is the largest mobile St. Patricks Day Party in Pocahontas County, the State of Iowa, and possibly the Midwest. The cost this year for the "Spillvivor" Bus Ride well be the same as last year $15.00 per person, non-refundable, which includes one chance for the Cash Drawing (you must be present to win). We ask that you send your registration money to Joan DeWall, 54240 230th Ave., Pocahontas, Iowa 50574, to reserve your seat on the bus. If you are interested in a Limo for the entire trip we have a 10 Passenger available for $310.00. We ask that you have your seat paid for by March 1st so we may plan accordingly. Beverages will be allowed on the bus and we do ask that all take-on alcohol be purchased at Bob’ Bar. Rooms are available at the Super 8 in Humboldt , please phone Jerry Bollard @ 712-335-3864 if you are interested. If you stay in Humboldt, we will have a designated driver available Friday and Saturday night to shuttle people back and forth. Which brings us to our Schedule of Events, which are always subject to change without notice!! Friday March 16: Bob’s Bar 10:00 AM – Meet at Bob’s Bar for Casino Trip Tune Up 11:00 AM - Bus will depart for Casino Trip to Winnavegas in Sloan, Iowa. Cost per person will be $5.00. We need a minimum of 30 people to book the bus. If you are interested in the Casino Bus Trip please include your $5.00 when you RSVP. If we do not reach 30 people your money will be refunded. We should be back in Pocahontas by 6:30 pm. 8:00 PM – Pre-Tour Tune Up, Meet at Bob’s Bar for lively banter and reminiscing, traditional banner review, King and Queen campaigning, Irish music and lots of fun and surprises. Saturday March 17: Bob’s Bar 11:00 AM – Meet at Bob’s Bar for Pre Tour Tune up to include: announcement of this years Grand Marshall, check in and bus assignments, announcement of last years King and Queen, All Irish Team, pep rally and grand send off!! Please stop at the check in table as soon as you arrive at Bob’s. This will help us get everyone processed in a timely manner. 12:30 – We’re off to Sandy’s in Havelock! This is our first time in Havelock and this will be a great stop, Sandy will be our Host. Have a good time! 2:30 – All aboard and we’re headed for the "Spillvivor" Mystery Stop. Details to be announced the morning of the Bus Ride. 3:45 – Back on the Bus and we’re off to Scotty’s and the Palmer House in Palmer. Scotty purchased and refurbished the Palmer House so we can frequent both sides of the street. There will be food available to purchase at this stop if anyone is getting hungry. Details on the food to be announced the morning of the Bus Ride. 5:30 – It’s Irish Party Time as we head back to Bob’s Bar for the Irish Party of the Year to include: Traditional singing of the Irish Tunes, Uncle Jim in the DJ Booth, 7 PM - Survivor Contest Finals. 8:30 PM – Crowning of the King and Queen, selection of the All Irish Team and Cash Drawing-must be present to win, not necessarily conscious. |
